Hearts of Patsy Cline Fans |

Michelle’s tribute to her long-time idol, Patsy Cline at the Regent Theatre during this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival left the audience spell bound.
Michelle was joined on stage by some of Australian Country Music’s best musicians, Michael Vidale (double bass), Robert Bennic (Drums), Chris Staff (guitar), Gary Brown (lap steel) and Michael Green (keyboard). Peter Pratt performed a beautiful acoustic tribute to Marty Robbins joined by the very talented Ric Bartlet on guitar.
The show was definitely a journey through many different emotions as Michelle shared her knowledge of Patsy’s life as well as some of Michelle’s favourite tunes. A highlight of the evening was when Michelle asked her mother, Noni to join her on stage for the encore. Michelle saying that it was her mother’s encouragement and love of Patsy Cline that had led Michelle to become a singer.
It was “a real Tamworth special moment” as one fan put it and Michelle herself was overwhelmed by the response.
“At times during that night I felt like the show gained a life of its own and I was just there for the ride. It was definitely one of, if not the most exhilarating performance of my life which I will never forget. Thank you to everyone that came along and thank you for all of your messages afterwards.”
This was Michelle Little’s first independently-staged concert performance and after an encore and 2 standing ovations from a packed house, it will not be her last! |
